The12U Livingston Thunder softball team recently won the NJBSL 12U A division championship by defeating top seeded Parsippany Ice, 7-3. This concluded an exciting playoff run for the Thunder, as they defeated not only the top Parsippany team, but also the second and third seeded teams from Wayne and East Hanover.

The Livingston Thunder Black 10-U A softball team has completed a successful spring season, winning the regular season title with a 9-1 record and winning the recent play-offs. The girls faced the #2 seed Verona team in the finals, the only team to defeat Livingston earlier in the year.

The Los Angeles team members pose with their trophies after defeating a very tough Oakland team to win the AAA Level Championship of the Livingston Little League. The Livingston Lancer boys' lacrosse team enjoyed the best season in school history this year, finishing with a final record of 16 wins and just five defeats. Among the many team achievements made throughout the season, were: a final season ranking of #23 in the state of New Jersey; earning a number four seed in the Essex County Tournament and reaching the semifinals of the tournament for the first time; earning a number four seed in the Group IV State Tournament, the highest ever and reaching the quarterfinals for the first time.

Livingston resident Bobby Schneiderman plays for the SDFC Gauchos soccer team, whose members were recently crowned the New Jersey State Champions in the boys U-18 bracket of the New Jersey Youth Soccer National Championship Series. It was the team's third championship in the past four years, and the Gauchos will now move on to regional play in Kingston, Rhode Island. They will take on 15 other state champion teams from West Virginia to Maine over the July 4th holiday with the chance to advance to the National Championship.

SUCCESSFUL TOUR De Livingston! More than 200 bikers of all ages participated in Sunday's Bike Livingston event, which featured a choice of a four mile, seven mile or 13 mile route. Family groups were mostly two and three people, but there were also a number of groups of four and fi ve family members riding together.

The Livingston Junior Lancer girls' U-13 travel lacrosse team tied Verona and defeated Morristown last week. On Thursday, June 5, the Livingston Lady Junior Lancers played Verona to a 9-9 tie. Izzy Freschi had two goals with an assist from Emma Zuckerman. Avery Conklin had four goals with an assist from Ashley Williamson. Williamson had two goals with an assist from Freschi. Caitlyn Leffler also scored.

The Livingston varsity softball team played Roxbury to an 11-6 loss in the NJSIAA State Tournament on Tuesday, May 27, at the oval.

 

The Livingston High School boys' volleyball team concluded its 2014 season on Friday in the State sectional N2 finals against St. Peter's Prep with a 25-13, 25-16 loss. The Lancers finished their season with an outstanding 25-5 season. Their fourth county title and fifth SEC conference title showed that the Lancers were one of the best volleyball teams in the area and in the state. After a convincing run in the State Tournament, defeating Roselle Catholic, Bayonne and Ridge, the Lancers fell short in the finals at a very difficult venue at the Prep in Jersey City. "As one of the final eight teams left in the tournament, the Lancers should be proud of their run," said coach Al Partelow.
