A Blazing Truck Fire

A BLAZING TRUCK FIRE was extinguished by volunteers of the Livingston Fire Department on Wednesday afternoon, October 11. A driver for Evergreen Recycling had parked his truck about 45 feet from one of the buildings at ParkVue at Livingston, 211 Eisenhower Parkway, and was having lunch when he smelled smoke. He exited the vehicle and found smoke under the engine, which soon was blazing. A general alarm was sounded and volunteers responded to the scene. Contents of the recycling truck were exploding and the heat of the fire caused a front tire to burst.
