Cameras Film Buskers "Heth and Jed" For AXS Television Reality Show Pilot

To date, brothers Heth and Jed Weinstein have played more than 1,000 shows as buskers, or street musicians, in New York City. No small feat for siblings who didn't speak to each other for two years. Thankfully, they reconnected through the music they both love and recently secured a deal with AXS TV for a television pilot. Their reality show, "Heth and Jed," will air in the next few weeks. Details on the date will be published in an upcoming edition of the Tribune.
For the musical duo, it was a long road to the success on the streets.

The Livingston Lancer varsity football team started its season in spectacular fashion by routing the Millburn Millers, 36-7, at home on Saturday, September 13, a game which head coach Barry Kostibos described as a “competitive team effort that really showcased our skills as a team.”

Health Resources of New Jersey, LLC, returned to the Livingston Planning Board for a continued hearing on its application to construct a three story assisted living facility, and a three story post acute care facility, as well as overflow parking and modified parking lot improvements on East Cedar and Old Short Hills Road. A minor subdivision is requested.

Board of Education Hears Updates About Technology and Construction

The Board of Education meeting on September 8 began with a moment of silence in memory of Lou Venza, a former Board member who died last week. "He was a great guy who loved this town," said president Barry Funt. "He will be missed." Interim assistant superintendent Jim O'Neill said that one of the nicest things is to recognize students who have special accomplishments; he congratulated four Livingston High School seniors who earned top places in a national business competition (see photo and article in this issue).

First Aid Squad Opens Campaign To Replace Ambulance and Cover Costs

The Livingston First Aid Squad is conducting its annual fund raising campaign and "the need is pressing," said Scott Maynard, fund drive chairman. "In addition to our day-to-day expenses, we need to replace our oldest ambulance, which is from 2003, at a cost exceeding $100,000."
