Livingston Police detectives are investigating a series of burglaries that occurred recently in town.
At 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, officers responded to a Chadwick Road home on a report of an attemptedmotor vehicle burglary.
Officers arrived and met with the homeowner, who said that he saw someone exit a gray Acura MDX in front of his residence and attempt to enter his BMW M4. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the scene.
The homeowner was able to obtain the New York registration of the suspect vehicle, which was relayed to officers. Responding officers located the suspect’s vehicle and attempted to stop it, but it fled the scene via Route 280 eastbound.
Police said that it appeared that the same suspect was responsible for motor vehicle burglaries on Stoneham Drive (a Range Rover), Stonewall Drive (a Porsche Macan), and Pitcairn Road (a Mercedes-Benz 300).
The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating the matter.
