The Essex County Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, at the Essex County Department of Public Works, located at 99 West Bradford Avenue, Cedar Grove. The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Essex County residents must provide proof of residency at the site.
Items accepted will include:
• Aerosol spray paints;
• Automotive fluids (antifreeze, motor oil, steering fluids, etc.);
• Car batteries;
• Chemistry sets;
• Darkroom/photographic chemicals;
• Driveway sealer;
• Fire extinguishers (home);
• Fluorescent light bulbs and ballasts;
• Gasoline/kerosene;
• Household cleaning fluids;
• Mercury and products containing mercury;
• Ni-Cd/rechargeable batteries; • Oil-based paints and stains;
• Pesticides and herbicides; • Pool chemicals;
