The Livingston High School History Bowl team recently won the National History Bowl, with an undefeated record.
The team, advised by Guy Rabner and Brynn Smith, attended the International Academic Competitions National Tournament in Arlington, Virginia, at the end of April.
Out of 96 teams, the LHS varsity team won finished first in the competition. It is the fourth year LHS has brought home a History Bowl national title.

One of Livingston’s freshmen teams also made it to the junior varsity playoffs, ending the tournament in ninth place.
Of the 11 students who competed in the History Bee, nine made it to the playoffs. Senior Robert Wang won the National History Bee competition, taking home the national title for the fourth year in a row. This was the first time a student had accomplished this in the tournament’s history.
FreshmanAiden Saju also made it to the junior varsity finals for History Bee, finishing the tournament in tenth place. Beyond the History Bee and Bowl, LHS students competed in various other competitions. Robert Wang won the National U.S. History Bee, placed second in the Geography Bee, and placed third in the Political Science Bee. Junior Jack Liu and freshman Andrew Zhou competed in the Science Bee finals, winning fifth place in the Varsity and junior varsity divisions. Junior Arav Kaushikh placed ninth in the Academic Bee. Junior Ethan Liu made it to the semi-finals of the Geography Bee, ranking in the top 20 in the country.
