The Livingston Planning Board, at its May 20 conference meeting, reviewed two township ordinances.
The .rst ordinance was related to outdoor dining in town. Questions about the ordinance included whether indoor seating must comply with .re code limits, using sidewalks as seating areas, and how responsible a restaurant is for pedestrian safety in the event of sidewalk-related accidents.
The Board members also discussed permitting ampli.ed music in restaurants, in accordance with the ordinance, unless there is a residence within 200 feet, which restricts ampli.cation.
Additionally, the Board discussed an ordinance involving the rezoning of Cedar Hill Country Club and whether it is consistent with the town’s Master Plan. They discussed stacked parking, a maximum height for permitted signage, and what type of signs would be allowed on the property.
The Board then filed a motion finding the ordinance consistent with the Master Plan.
