Balter Wins Back-to-Back State Track Championships

The Livingston High School track and field program sent 13 athletes who qualified in 16 events to Egg Harbor Township for the two-day Group 4 State Championships. Livingston High School senior Chandler Balter had qualified in two events on the second day of competition, and won back-to-back championships. In the javelin, Balter used a clutch throw in the second round of the finals to bring home his second straight Group 4 State Championship. Although he was a returning champion, Balter, who qualified for the finals with a throw of 185'0", was the second seed behind Stephen Benigno of Cherry Hill East High School (currently ranked #15 in the country).   To view more please log in or subscribe to the digital edition. ...
