Private Services For Kenneth Schweiger

Kenneth E. Schweiger, 90, of Whippany, formerly of Livingston, died on Monday, September 22. Services were private. Born in Brooklyn, he served in the US Navy during World War II. He later became a member of the Whippany Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as a Post Commander. After attending Princeton, Mr. Schweiger later became director of industrial relations for the National Association of Manufacturers. He later served in the same capacity with Singer Corporation and finally for his own firm, Management Consultants. Predeceased by his wife, Marguerite (Lea), Mr. Schweiger is survived by his daughters: Janet Kerr and her husband, Thomas; Dorothy Sobieski and her husband, Kenneth; Lea Bumber and her husband, Edward; and Carol Thompson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
