Carin (Struminger) Hochman, 71, died on Saturday, October 11, in Linville, North Carolina. Born in New York City, Mrs. Hochman grew up in the Bronx, New York, and lived in Livingston for many years before moving to Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. Mrs. Hochman was an avid volunteer, who worked with children at the Kessler Institute, nursed baby animals back to health, and volunteered at the local hospital. Surviving Mrs. Hochman are her husband of 48 years, Andrew; children, Steven Hochman and Stacy Harrison; son in law, Andy Harrison; sister, Dena Dermer; and three grandchildren.
