Elizabeth A. Dennis, 80, died on Thursday, October 9. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Philomena’s Church, Livingston, on Tuesday, October 14. Born in Bronx, New York, Mrs. Dennis was raised in Newark, where she attended Weequahic High School. After graduation she began working for Terry Fabrics, where she met her husband, Tom. Together they moved to Livingston 53 years ago. Mrs. Dennis was a “stay-at-home mom” for many years before returning to work as a bookkeeper for Hammill & Gillespie. She retired ten years ago. Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Joseph, Mrs. Dennis is survived by her children, Brian Dennis; Marie Magi and her husband, Mark; Lisa Smith and her husband, Daryl; and Geralyn Dennis; her siblings, Robert Kurz and Helen Scarpelli; and fi ve grandchildren.
