Thieves hit two vehicles in Northfield Center on Wednesday morning, October 29. A patrolling Livingston police officer was flagged down at 8:30 a.m. by Michael Witmondt of Montclair, who reported that his 2009 Jaguar XKR had just been stolen. Witmondt told the officer that he had left the vehicle idling while parked on East Northfield Road when he went into a local bagel store. When he returned about two minutes later, the vehicle, which had the keys, registration and insurance documents inside, was gone.
