Livingston residents came out en masse on New Year’s Day to the Town Council’s annual reorganization meeting, during which Michael Silverman was sworn in as mayor of the township for 2015. Silverman, a Democrat who served as deputy mayor during 2014, succeeds previous mayor Dr. Michael Rieber.
