A Funeral Mass for Brian D. Burns, 66, was held on Saturday, January 17, at St. Matthew the Apostle Parish in Randolph. Mr. Burns, who was raised in Livingston, died on January 9. Mr. Burns began his career in 1975 as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey. He ran a municipal land use and real estate practice in Florham Park for more than 30 years and earned the William M. Cox and other professional awards. Mr. Burns, who was graduated from New York University and Rutgers Law School, also served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Sarah; and his children, Brian and his wife, Katelin; Katie Brody and her husband, Craig; and Tim. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathy Schrader and Joan Decelles. He was predeceased by his brother, Alan. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities USA, P.O.
