Irene G. Nakonechny, 89, died on Monday, April 6. The funeral service celebrating her life will be offered at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Livingston, on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Nakonechny was born in Adams, Pennsylvania and had lived in Newark before moving to Livingston 63 years ago. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Livingston and was an active volunteer at its Thrift Shop. Mrs. Nakonechny was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Livingston Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Basil A., Sr. (Ike) and her son John. Mrs. Nakonechny is survived by her children, Dennis (Shelley), Basil A., Jr. (Kathryn), Diane Crockett (Bruce); 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
