Funeral services for Gary S. Palmer will be held at 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, April 9, at Farmer Funeral Home in Roseland. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight. Mr. Palmer, who died at the age of 61 on April 6, was born in Glen Ridge and raised in Livingston before moving to East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania more than 14 years ago. Predeceased by his father, Paul, he is survived by his wife, Shirley; his mother, Lorraine; a son, Steven; andthree step-children, Sandra Jacksonand her husband, Walter; Edwin Acevedo and his wife, Carolina; and Kelly Witherspoon and her husband, Ulysses; two brothers, Jeffrey and Gregory; two sisters, Linda Kathenes and Susan Palmer; and seven grandchildren, In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Saint Barnabas Cancer Center, 94, Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039.
