School Board Approves Interim Superintendent

The Board of Education approved the appointment of Dr. Ernest Palestis as interim superintendent of schools beginning September 1. He will be paid $644.23 per day from September 1 to June 30, which is a comparable compensation to his predecessor, Jim O'Neill, who plans to retire and has declined to serve a second year as interim superintendent of schools.
