Ralph Cicci Sr., 91, Succumbs at Home

Ralph C. Cicci Sr., 91, of Livingston, died on Saturday, May 16, at home. A Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 19, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Roseland. Mr. Cicci was born in Red Bank, and resided in Belleville before settling in Livingston more than 48 years ago. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the invasions of Tarawa in World War II. After serving in World War II, Mr. Cicci worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years, including the building of the Verrazano- Narrows Bridge. He was a longtime member of Boy Scout Troop 12 in Livingston, hand carving eagles to be presented to each member who earned the distinction of Eagle Scout. Predeceased by his wife, Jeanne in 1993, Mr. Cicci is survived by a daughter, Barbara and her boyfriend, Jimmy; a son, Ralph Cicci Jr. and his wife, Lori; two brothers, Joseph and Vito Cicci; and four grandchildren.
