Peter A. Tinessa died on June 14, at the age of 93. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 17, at Farmer Funeral Home in Roseland. Born and raised in Newark, Mr. Tinessa resided in Livingston for 20 years and settled in Roseland in 1999. During World War II, he served in the US Army as an airplane mechanic and was honorably discharged. Prior to his retirement, he was a supervisor for Goldsmith Leather Co. and then was a claims adjuster for the IRS in Newark. Mr. Tinessa is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Giacalone Tinessa; his children, Anne Alloway and her husband, Richard; Robert Giacalone and his wifel Terri; John Giacalone and his wife, Lisa; and Richard Giacalone and his wife, Michelle; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Calabrese and Rose Tinessa.
