Service on Saturday For William Endres

William (Bill) E. Endres of Livingston died on June 9, at the age of 82. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at the Livingston Presbyterian Church. Mr. Endres was born on March 8, 1933 in Englewood. He was graduated from Syracuse University with a business degree in 1955 and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He joined the US Air Force and was a Captain/Navigator with the Strategic Air Command. His professional career spanned more than six decades. Mr, Endres served as a sales manager for General Bronze Corporation on Long Island before moving to Livingston and starting Tele-Measurements Inc. with his father-in-law Jack Poppele. This venture, fabricating and marketing "Tele-Pat" illuminated test pattern devices for TV studio cameras, began in the garage of his Livingston home in 1960. The business quickly expanded and grew from offices in New York City to its current location in Clifton. As president and CEO of Tele-Measurements, Mr. Endres expanded the company's products and services to include the distance learning educational market, providing technology to NJ schools, colleges and universities. He was also a lifetime member of the Radio Club of America where he served as Fellow and Director as well as a member of the Antique Wireless Association. A Livingston resident for more than 50 years, Mr. Endres was a member and Elder of the Livingston Presbyterian Church. He maintained a summer home in Beach Haven, where he was also a member of the Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club. Predeceased by his daughter, Karen Endres, and his sister, Sue Tolle, Mr. Endres is survived by his wife, Virginia; three children, William Christian and his wife, Christien, of Montville; David and his wife, Lisa, of Berkeley Heights; and Laura and her husband, Kris, of Wakefield, Rhode Island; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Carolyn Colin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Karen Virginia Endres Memorial Garden at the Presbyterian Church. ...
