William “Billy” F. Short, Jr., 61, of Morristown died Friday, June 19. His life was celebrated by immediate family at a service on Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. Mr. Short, born in Newark to the late William and Edna Short, grew up in Livingston, where he attended Livingston High School. He lived in Morristown for many years and was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Morristown, where he contributed to several Bible study groups. Mr. Short, who was a skilled musician and played the guitar, piano, and accordion, is survived by three brothers, Barry of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Ken of Long Valley; and Bob of Chatham.
