Graveside Services For Marilyn Brafman

Graveside services were held on July 31, in B'nai Abraham Memorial Park for Marilyn (Perwin) Brafman, 92. Mrs. Brafman died on July 29. Born in Newark, she lived in South Orange, Livingston, and Wellington, Florida, before moving back to West Orange several years ago. Mrs. Brafman was active in the community, especially the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), of which she was the past president of the Essex County Chapter. She also received the Hannah Solomon Award from the NCJW. In addition, Mrs. Brafman was involved in the United Nations Association, the Occupational Center of Orange, and Adopt A Family of West Palm Beach, Florida. Predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Justin Brafman, Mrs. Brafman is is survived by her three children, Andy (Arlene) of West Orange, Marty (Judy) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ellen of Huntington, Long Island, N.Y. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Council of Jewish Women or Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange. ...
