Several proposed ordinances and contracts were discussed by the Township Council during its September 21 conference meeting. Also approved was a change in the dates for the annual Youth Appreciation Week. Alan Karpas, president of the Healthy Community Healthy Youth (HCHY) initiative which manages Youth Appreciation Week, presented a letter to the Council requesting the change to the week before the one that leads up to Memorial Day. For 2016, the Youth Appreciation Week would be Sunday, May 15, through Saturday, May 21, with the celebration of the Family Fun Day Festival.
