Helen Ruth Tahaney died Saturday, October 24, at Care One of Livingston. She was 92 years old. A private committal service will be held at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. Arrangements are by the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston. Born in Springfield, Mrs. Tahaney was a lifelong resident of Livingston and had worked as a secretary at Sandoz Pharmaceutical Company in East Hanover. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Charles Tahaney, Sr.; her brothers, Jack and Edwin Falk; and her sister, Dorothy Riley. She is survived by her son, Charles, Jr., and his wife, Eileen; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family has noted that memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston First Aid Squad, 62 South Livingston Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039; or to the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052.
