Offer Mass Thursday For Pierre Guariglia

Pierre Guariglia of Roseland, formerly of Livingston, died November 6 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. He was 88 years old. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philomena Church, 386 South Livingston Avenue, today, Thursday, November 12, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Arrangements are by the Codey and Jones Funeral Home of Caldwell. To extend condolences or share a memory, visit www.codeyjonesfh.com. Mr. Guariglia was born in Orange and raised in Bloomfi eld. He and his wife, Gloria (nee Dell'Olmo), raised their family in West Orange and Livingston before moving to Roseland ten years ago. Mr. Guariglia was the founder and chairman of Fidelity Paper and Supply Corporation since 1957, which grew to be a national business with branches throughout the continental United States. He was a member of the Essex County Country Club in West Orange, and BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Perry, David and Gary Guariglia, and Jeannie Mates; his brothers, Dominick and Vincent Guariglia; and 11 grandchildren. The family has suggested that, in lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Guariglia's memory be made to Seton Hall Preparatory. ...
