FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR CORPORAL BRENNAN

Funeral services were held at St. Philomena Church on Saturday, November 28, for Livingston Police Corporal William J. Brennan. A 36 year veteran of the Livingston Police Department (LPD), Corporal Brennan died at the age of 57 on Sunday, November 22. Shown on this page, officers from Livingston, and across the state, stood at attention outside of the church; bagpipers played; and a motorcade of police motorcycles preceded the funeral procession. Following the funeral, Corporal Brennan's body was escorted to Florida, where he was laid to rest next to his father, Robert. The LPD publicly recognized Offi cer Chris Heitfeld of the Stuart, Florida, Police Department, who, after being contacted by LPD offi cer Paul Lenzi, voluntarily organized "a show of brotherhood," to receive Corporal Brennan's body at the airport, below, right. Many members of Florida law enforcement agencies took part in the ceremony, shown at bottom left.
