Two of Livingston's first responders, off duty police officer Kevin Mullaney and off duty firefighter John Durish, were instrumental in saving a man's life in what has been dubbed by many as a "Christmas miracle." Both happened to be at the 7 p.m. Mass at St. Philomena's Church on Christmas Eve when 72 year old Brendan Devlin of 156 East Cedar Street suddenly collapsed on the altar while serving as a Eucharistic minister.
