The current odd/even schedule for lawn watering will be adjusted by the Township Council in the near future. Summer interns Zach and Josh Berliner made a presentation to the Council last August concerning the township’s water conservation and water emergency plans and their study was the basis of the ordinances which will be proposed. Based on recommendations from the Department of Environmental Protection, the township will abandon its odd/even lawn watering ordinance, which has permitted residents to water lawns every other day. The goal, the Council said, is to “get away from the odd/even watering, which encourages more watering than necessary.”
