Valerie Cacossa, 81 Dies on January 20

Livingston resident Valerie Cacossa, 81, died on Wednesday, January 20. For more than 25 years, Mrs. Cacossa was the oldest living survivor of a revolutionary ovarian cancer treatment protocol, established at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. Mrs. Cacossa is survived by her children, Dr. Beth Cacossa-Madsen and Kenneth F. Cacossa, Ph.D., and their spouses, Dr. Wayne J. Madsen and Debra Stock; and two grandchildren. Her husband, Frank (Buck) Cacossa, preceded her in death in 1999. Donations may be made in her name to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. ...
