Former Livingston resident Maria Kos, 89, died at home in Toms River on February 24. Mrs. Kos was born in Germany to Thomas and Ann Hoffmann. She came to the U.S. in 1950, and lived in Irvington and Livingston, prior to moving to Brick in the mid-1970s. Mrs. Kos owned and operated the Glamour Beauty Shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kos, in 1991. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Peter E. Kos and Linda of Bridgewater, and John Kos and Jane of Sea Girt; her sister, Olga; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
