"Cents-able" Proposal

Members of the Township Council engaged in a discussion on Monday evening about whether or not Livingston should join an alliance of municipalities that is gearing up for a legal battle to oppose the Pilgrim Pipeline, a two-way underground transport system that will be used to carry crude oil 178 miles from Albany, New York to the Bayway Refinery in Linden. One pipe would transport volatile Bakken shale oil to the south, while the other would deliver refined products such as gasoline, kerosene and diesel to the north.
