This past Tuesday evening, the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Livingston held a Candidates' Night to introduce to the community those residents running for the Board of Education in the November 8 election. This week's event featured the four candidates who are vying for two available, three-year seats on the Board, including Samantha Messer, Barry Funt, Dr. George Shen, and Mike Ramer. Current Board vice-president Art Altman announced this week that he has withdrawn from the race due to personal and professional obligations.
