Council Hears Introduction Of 2017 Township Budget

At the Township Council meeting on Monday evening, acting township manager Russ Jones, along with chief financial officer Kimberly Kientz, introduced Livingston’s 2017 municipal budget. A public hearing on the proposed budget will be held at the Council’s meeting on Monday, May 8, at 8 p.m. at Town Hall. The proposed spending plan will cost the owner of a home assessed at the average cost of approximately $600,000, about $53.35, or 1.9%, in additional taxes, Jones said. This does not include the tax levy for the Board of Education or for Essex County.
