“Knock Cancer Out” Campaign Off to a Roaring Start

Opening day for Livingston Little League was held on Saturday, April 15. The day had also been named “Knock Cancer Out of the Park Day” by mayor Shawn Klein, and it marked the official opening of the grass roots campaign in honor of 12 year old Jake Kestler of Livingston. Livingston Little League president Pat Ippolito served as “master of ceremonies” that morning. Members of the Livingston Little League board, parents, and township officials gathered with players on the field for the annual festivities, which included Kestler throwing out the first pitch for baseball and mayor Klein throwing out the opening pitch for softball.
