Residents Continue to Urge Town Council To Pass ‘Fair and Welcoming’ Resolution

A group of residents attended Monday evening’s Township Council meeting to request that the Council create and approve a “Fair and Welcoming” resolution for Livingston. The resolution would state that the township is not willing to voluntarily allow its police officers to act as immigration agents under the 287(g) section of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as well as put other types of protection in place for undocumented immigrants
