Louis E. Guida Sr. of Morris Plains, New Jersey, formerly of Livingston, New Jersey passed peacefully on May 7, 2017. He was 90 years old. He was the beloved husband of Angela Marie; the loving father of Louis (Mary Ellen); the cherished grandfather of Louis III (fiancée Christina Markadakis), Jacquelyn, Joseph, and Mary Elizabeth. He was also the adored brother of the late Angelina (the late Gorden) Hoover; the late Pasqualino (Michelina “Mickey”) Guida; and the late Joseph (the late Rose) Guida. Mr. Guida is reposing at Branch Funeral Home, 190 East Main Street, Smithtown, New York. Visitation will take place Thursday, May 11, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, May 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Smithtown, New York. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, New Jersey.
