Memorial Service Held For Robert H. Rogers

A memorial service was held for Robert H. (Bucky) Rogers on Wednesday, May 17, at the Federated Church of Livingston. Mr. Rogers, 89, died on May 12. Son of the late John and Josephine (Allman) Rogers, Mr. Rogers was raised in Nutley and Livingston. He was a World War II Army veteran, and worked at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Bloomfield before retiring. A past commander of American Legion Post 201 of Livingston, Mr. Rogers served as Grand Marshal of the Livingston Memorial Day Parade in 2009. He was also a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Livingston. Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 64 years, Florence (neé Bevensee); two daughters, Jennifer Adkins and Roberta Roselle, and their husbands, Gary Adkins and Daniel Roselle; and four grandchildren, Jon, Matthew, Danimarie and Michele. He was predeceased by his brother, John Rogers, and sister, Annetta Altvater. Donations in his memory may be made to the Livingston First Aid Squad or the Federated Church of Livingston. ...
