Arnold “Skip” Zarra Dies Thursday, June 1

Arnold H. “Skip” Zarra died on June 1, following complications from leukemia. He was 84 years old. Funeral arrangements were by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel. Born in Newark to Samuel and Sylvia (Werksman) Zarra, Mr. Zarra attended Manasquan High School and Rutgers College of Agriculture. He worked as a stone mason, bricklayer, stockbroker, and in life insurance and real estate. A member of the Knights of Pythias, Mr. Zarra was chosen to serve as Grand Marshall for the Memorial Day Parade in Livingston. He was married three times, divorced twice, and widowed once. He is preceded in death by his second wife, Esther. He is survived by his brother, Michael (Lois) of Holmdel; his son, Larry (Elizabeth); his daughter, Sharon (Robert Fornuto); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepsons; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchldren. ...
