Livingston Town Council Unanimously Votes “No” To Zoning Change on E. McClellan/Scott Terrace

A crowd of concerned citizens attended the Township Council’s meeting on Monday evening to protest a proposed ordinance that would allow two-family housing units on three lots, two on East McClellan Avenue and one on Scott Terrace. At the Council’s conference meeting, which preceded the regular meeting, Planning Board chairman Peter Klein gave a brief presentation on the property in question. He said that the Planning Board found the proposal to be inconsistent with the township’s Master Plan. He explained, however, that certain proposals are justified to be adopted, even though they are inconsistent, if the Board decides that it is in the public interest to do so. The properties at120 East McClellan Avenue and 20 Scott Terrace are both owned by Nick Kantanas, and the Lot 21 property on East McClellan Avenue is owned by Mark Goodman.   To read more please log in or subscribe to the digital edition http://www.etypeservices.com/West%20Essex%20TribuneID480/ ...
