During the course of a rather quiet week, Livingston’s volunteer firefighters spent one busy Sunday dealing with a downed tree and a trapped dog.
A large tree came down on Crescent Road at about 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 23. The tree snapped two utility poles and took down primary electrical wires on Crescent and nearby parts of West Northfield Road. Repairs and clean-up took most of the day, and power was not restored until late on Sunday night.
