Offer Mass August 8 For William Theel, 85

Former Livingston resident William Theel, 85, died suddenly on Sunday, July 30, at his home in Macungie, Pennsylvania. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The Mass will be preceded by a calling hour from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 a.m. Arrangements are by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown, Born in Passaic, Mr. Theel lived in Pequannock before moving to Livingston. He was a 1950 graduate of Grover Cleveland High School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a field engineer for IBM for 32 years until retiring. After retiring in 1986, he and his wife moved to Reeders, Pennsylvania, and then to the Wild Cherry Knoll Community in Macungie. Mr. Theel was predeceased by Barbara, his wife of 58 years; and his sister, Gertrude. He is survived by his son, William Theel and his wife, Mary Ellen Argentieri Theel; his daughters, Cindy Williams and her husband, Gerald, and Karen Theel and her husband, Lee French; his twin brother, Frank Theel; and two grandchildren. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Association. ...
