Fire Department Assists at East Hanover Train Fire

The Livingston Fire Department this week helped battle a train fire in East Hanover, and answered calls about gas leaks, a blown transformer, and trees hitting electrical wires.

The LFD received a request for mutual aid from the East Hanover Fire Department in extinguishing a train fire on Melanie Lane in that community’s industrial zone on Thursday, August 3, at 11 p.m. Livingston sent an engine company, which worked at the scene. The fire was extinguished with no injuries reported.
