Fire Department Assists at East Hanover Train Fire

The Livingston Fire Department this week helped battle a train fire in East Hanover, and answered calls about gas leaks, a blown transformer, and trees hitting electrical wires. The LFD received a request for mutual aid from the East Hanover Fire Department in extinguishing a train fire on Melanie Lane in that community’s industrial zone on Thursday, August 3, at 11 p.m. Livingston sent an engine company, which worked at the scene.
