The Livingston Fire Department extinguished two car fires and reported to a small fire at a convenience store this past week. Other than those three calls, however, it was a quiet week; among the reports received, 14 were unfounded alarms and two were the result of outdoor burning.
A small fire in a rear bathroom of the Livingston Mart at 212 North Livingston Avenue was extinguished by the store owner. Firefighters responded to the scene on August 11 and insured that the fire, which had erupted in a ventilation motor, was out before venting smoke from the store.
