Livingston Honors India's Independence

LIVINGSTON HONORS INDIA’S INDEPENDENCE: On Tuesday, August 15, Livingston Township held a flag-raising ceremony at the Oval to celebrate India’s 70th year of independence. The audience, including many children, stood at attention as (below) mayor Shawn Klein, Council member Al Anthony and freeholder Pat Sebold, with 12 year old Raina Batra, raised the flag of India; Raina had successfully asked the Township Council to approve the Independence celebration.
