Bamboo Ordinance/Ely Court Property Discussed at Township Council Meeting

The Livingston Township Council discussed residents’ concerns about three separate issues at its meeting on Monday evening. Two complained about the bamboo ordinance, while others expressed concerns about a property on Ely Court. Another resident came before the Council to discuss issues with the new Madonna Field. Ely Court Dan Klinger of 2 Ely Court told the Council that the old governor’s mansion that sits at the end of Ely Court should be addressed by the township. He described the property as “tired, old, and unkempt.” He said that while the house may have an historical significance, it does a disservice to the area.
