Richard “Ricky” Mason

Jan. 13, 1953-Sept. 26, 2017 Richard “Ricky” Mason passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Ricky worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. During that time, he owned Crescent Towing and RCM Trucking for a number of years. Ricky was a Livingston firefighter and a member of the Elks’ Lodge in Livingston, New Jersey. Richard was the son of the late Charles Thomas Mason Jr. and Helen Adele Mason. He is survived by his brother, Edward, of Glen Carbon, Illinois; and his sisters, Jean Craig (Danny) of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey and Kathy Turner (Bryan) of Bainbridge Island, Washington. Ricky is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, Kerri and Seth Mason; Rachel and Shelby Craig; and Ian, Zachary, and Kyle and Devon Turner. Ricky will be laid to rest at a private family service at Restland Memorial in East Hanover, New Jersey, on Friday, October 20, 2017. Friends are invited to a “Celebration of Life” memorial gathering, which will be held on Saturday, October 21, at 1 p.m. at Jim Johnston’s Steakhouse in Roseland, New Jersey. ...
