The Livingston High School cross country program hosted the 14th annual Lancer Invitational on Friday, October 13 at Littell's Pond. The meet was attended by opponents from Kearny, Madison, New Brunswick, Morris Knolls, and Caldwell. With renovations being made at the tennis courts, the cross country course had to be modified.
Despite the changed course, and the date being Friday the 13th, the home team had a great day. For just the fifth time in the history of the meet, the boys' varsity squad won the team title, scoring an impressive 41 points and recording a team average of 17:59 on their way to victory. In addition, the individual champion was Lancer Philmon Mehari.
