Offer Mass Today For Robert Tiensch

Robert Tiensch, a long-time resident of Livingston, died Thursday, October 12, in Livingston. He was 77 years old. Mr. Tiensch was a graduate of Millburn High School, class of 1958. He then enrolled at Nichols College in Massachusetts for a year before enlisting the U.S. Army. He served with the 101 Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He later served as the honorary chaplain for the 101 Airborne Division. Mr. Tiensch was predeceased by his wife, Nancy. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Robert Schwarzenbek. Visitation was held Wednesday, October 18, at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston. A funeral Mass will be offered today, Thursday, October 19, at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, East Hanover, with interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Mr. Tiensch’s name may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation Project, P.O.
