Team Claims Back-to-Back County Championships

The Livingston High School girls’ varsity soccer team tied for the Essex County championship after a game against Montclair Kimberley ended in a 1-1 tie in double overtime. “For the first time since 1993, the Lady Lancers can call themselves back-to-back champions,” said coach Paul Raiz. “This year’s team has overcome a lot since the beginning of the season, including injuries, line-up changes, and new formations. It was just three weeks ago that the Lady Lancers found themselves one game under .500 and desperately trying to find their identity and save their season.
