Visitation will be held at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Livingston today, Thursday, January 11, from 9 to 10 a.m., for Lester L. Cowles Jr., who died on Sunday, January 7. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Philomena’s Church, also in Livingston, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Mr. Cowles retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Kearny, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette, and his son, Lester L. Cowles III. He is survived by nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 25 East Spring Valley Ave., No. 210, Maywood, N.J. 07607.
